What is Thamon ?

"Thamon started life as a farm around 1658. Later, abandoned in the nineteen nineties, we stumbled upon the neglected buildings by chance when returning to the UK from our home near Carcassonne.

Impressed by the benevolent energy emanating from the land and the spring water on tap, since analysed and described as 'of a rare purity these days', we put in a bid.

Six months later we moved in and Thamon Retreats began."

The rooms have views to the East and South down along the Padirac vale towards the foothills of the Massif Centrale.

Terraces to the front and rear of the farmhouse offer views and perhaps discourse with passing hikers, or seclusion, depending upon your whim; ideal spots to breakfast, take a glass of wine or just to ponder on the day.

The area is criss-crossed with footpaths should you wish to ramble, but the lands of Thamon itself are entirely private, ideal for those who desire a little solitude.

A tent can be provided to experience a night or nights 'sauvage', perhaps with a wood fire burning, beneath the stars.
