Thamon is just a short kilometre from the tiny mediaeval hamlet of Padirac known worldwide for its 'gouffre', a giant underground cave (the largest in Europe), through which one may be taken by boat to marvel at the incredible rock formations. The wonderful Rocamadour and the Dordogne River valley are also close at hand.
